South Africans are waiting to see who'll replace deputy president, David Mabuza.

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce his new cabinet on Monday evening. His spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed this during a media briefing on Sunday.

He resigned as member of parliament, bringing an end to his tenure as Ramaphosa's deputy.

Magwenya said, ''while he's still nursing his common cold, president is finalising his reconfiguration of the executive...they've been parliamentary processes like the swearing in of MPs, which president needed to take account of while finalising the formation of the new executive."

"Having exercised his constitutional prerogative, the president will announce the new national executive, at 7pm tomorrow [Monday]."
