The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (Denosa) is being inundated with complaints of assault from its members countrywide. And the assaults are being perpetrated by fellow workers who are on strike. #DStv403 #eNCA
JOHANNESBURG - Denosa's President Simon Hlungwani said it's imperative that government resolve the ongoing public sector strike to prevent more damage.
The union set out on strike earlier this month after wage talks collapsed.
The union demands a 10% wage hike but the government is offering less than half of that at 4.7%.
The strike has been marred by intimidation and violence.
