JOHANNESBURG - Some of Rand Water's key maintenance work on its Gauteng infrastructure is complete, but certain parts of Johannesburg remain without water.
The second phase of the large scale programme followed Monday’s successful completion of phase one, which impacted supply in Tshwane and Ekurhuleni.
Water tankers have been dispatched to ease the pressure in some affected areas.
The bulk water supplier started the servicing of its systems last Thursday, leading to widespread disruptions across the Gauteng province.
This round of upgrades is expected to continue well into July.
