JOHANNESBURG - The Reiger Park Shooting case may become a battle of CCTV footage.
The State claims it has footage placing the accused on the scene, but the Defence claims its footage clears the suspects.
Two anti-gang unit members were killed while responding to the murders of two women on 7 August.
Regan Collis, Jamal Meyer and Elvino Crafford have since been arrested in connection with the murder, but they have denied involvement in the deadly Reiger Park shooting.

The state is confident of its case, including CCTV footage it claims places the main accused, Collis, at the scene; however, Collis’s defence says it has footage of its own, captured from his family home, which proves he didn’t pull the trigger.
Prosecutors describe Collis, Meyer and Crafford as feared gang members, some with pending cases, further arguing that witnesses could be intimidated and retaliatory violence could follow if they are released.

Outside court, community members, political parties and POPCRU want the accused to stay behind bars.
Bail proceedings and possible judgment have been rolled over to 8 September.
