Remembering Deokaran | R2bn tenders under scrutiny at Tembisa Hospital

JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit has confirmed its looking into tenders worth R2-billion at Tembisa Hospital.

The facility is at the centre of the assassination of whistleblower, Babita Deokaran, four years ago.

Meanwhile, the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation held a symposium to reflect on the fight against corruption in the country's healthcare system and discuss ways to collectively act against it.

The symposium has resolved to rope in more voices and have more discussions on how to end corruption and devise a plan of action to have ethical leaders in positions of power.
