SAHRC fails to stop blocking of migrants, for now

JOHANNESBURG - March and March is vowing to continue stopping undocumented migrants from using clinics and hospitals.

This after the High Court in Durban struck an urgent application against them from the roll.

The Human Rights Commission wanted to stop the activists checking documents and denying access. 

The court struck the matter as it lacked urgency, before hearing the merits of the application. 

And as eNCA's Zanele Buthelezi reports, some doctors say migrants are a convenient scapegoat for the healthcare crisis.
