SA’s corruption emergency | DA says companies linked to graft still getting tenders

JOHANNESBURG - The DA in Gauteng says companies flagged for corruption continue to get tenders at Gauteng hospitals.

It says at least four companies implicated in the Tembisa Hospital corruption have received contracts worth R1.2-million in the last three months.

"Despite pledges that fishy companies implicated in the Tembisa Hospital corruption would be blacklisted, at least four companies that the SIU is investigating have received contracts worth R1.2-million in the last three months," said Jack Bloom, DA Gauteng MEC for Health.

"Clearly their systems are breaking down or they are not serious about stopping corruption."
