JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg's water system has received another blow as it tries to recover from high consumption.
The Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant has been affected by a power trip.
According to Johannesburg Water, around 2000 million litres of water are being lost per day because of the outage.

Technical teams attempted to restart the plant but have been unsuccessful due to faults in overhead power lines.
The utility says this is impacting the entire water system and delaying the recovery of numerous reservoir towers in Southern Johannesburg and Midrand.
