JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has found that three corruption syndicates looted R2-billion from Tembisa Hospital.
The unit has released an interim report on corruption and maladministration at the hospital in Gauteng.

Four years ago, whistleblower Babita Deokaran was killed after flagging dodgy contracts at the facility.
According to the SIU, it linked about 41 suppliers to alleged syndicate leader Morgan Maumela, a nephew of the President.
Three of the companies awarded contracts are linked to tenderpreneur and alleged criminal kingpin Vusimuzi Matlala.
