Slain e-hailing driver being laid to rest in Ulundi

DURBAN - Slain e-hailing driver Mthokozisi Mvelase is being laid to rest in his hometown of Ulundi in KZN.

The 27-year-old was killed and his body burnt inside his car outside Maponya Mall in Soweto last month.

The attack at the mall left two others injured and has intensified ongoing tensions between e-hailing drivers, and taxi organisations across the country.

With protests continuing, the funeral serves as a solemn reminder, of the deep divisions are, in the public transport sector.
