In one of the latest incidents, a Grade 10 pupil from Trenance Park Secondary in Verulam survived a stabbing, reportedly at the hands of two Grade 8 pupils.

He is now recovering in hospital, with one pupil arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The KwaZulu-Natal Community Policing Forum says it’s bringing several parties on board to place a specific focus on hotspot areas.
