JOHANNESBURG - The Madlanga Commission and a new SIU report are shedding light on the criminal capture of key state institutions.
Analysts warn that this is eroding public confidence in government structures.

Political analyst Prof Andre Duvenhage said the public doesn't trust he police and their activities, especially at a higher level.
"We must take into consideration the fact that the first and most important task of any state, is to provide all the stability and security for its citizens, and the fact of the matter is that this is not happening," he said.
