JOHANNESBURG - The state has wrapped up its investigation into the alleged theft of precious stones worth nearly R15 million.
It says the matter is now ready to go to trial.
The case has been postponed to 18 September for disclosure of the docket.
Suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi appeared alongside Kgomotso Makhubo, Adrian Norman Mackenzie and Keisha-Leigh Stols in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court.

The case relates to the alleged theft of precious stones in Killarney in 2023.
Proceedings were brief, with the state confirming that its investigation is now complete.
Meanwhile, the Mackenzie, Stols and Mkhwanazi also face murder charges in the Brakpan Magistrate's Court.
They are accused of killing Emmanuel Mbense in 2022 and dumping his body.
