Thousands of people gather to remember victims of Marikana Massacre

MARIKANA - Thousands have gathered at the Marikana Koppie to remember the 34 miners killed there 13 years ago.

Families continue to await justice that remains elusive.

Union, Amcu, has also launched a new political party called The Labour Party.

At the time of the tragedy, Amcu was leading a wildcat strike as they were yet to be recognised.

There were also tensions with NUM, that saw 10 people killed in the days before the massacre.
