We have to take calculated risks to prevent intensified levels of blackouts: Ramokgopa

JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says that calculated risks have to be taken in order to prevent intensified levels of blackouts.

This is as the country continues to experience power cuts.

Rolling blackouts were suspended this weekend until 4pm on Monday.

"We will continue on the planned maintenance, the course that we have carved for ourselves to ensure that we really are able to return these units to better health," he said.
