JAGERSFONTEIN - The family of a woman who has been missing since the Jagersfontein Dam disaster wants closure.
Mantele Mokhali was last seen struggling against a mudslide on 11 September 2022.
A tailings dam had collapsed, burying homes and residents in the small Free State town.
Mokhali is presumed dead, but her family holds out hope that she will be found alive.
Five people were killed, properties and infrastructure were damaged, and more than 900 heads of livestock were lost.
Seven people, including the employees of an engineering company, are facing the music for the disaster.
They are charged with murder, malicious property damage, and contravening the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
