JOHANNESBURG - MK Party leader, Jacob Zuma, has sent a letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa demanding answers over the suspension of Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
Zuma and the MK Party challenged Mchunu's suspension in the Constitutional Court last week. They argued that Ramaphosa should have fired the minister, who's embroiled in allegations of corruption and political interference in the SAPS.

The court denied them direct access, and now Zuma wants clarity directly from the president.
Zuma demands that acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia’s swearing-in be reversed, or for Ramaphosa to resign for allegedly violating his oath of office.
Zuma has given Ramaphosa until the 8th of August to respond.
