PRETORIA - Hammaskraal communities north of Pretoria have endured water shortages for the past two months.
Basic hygiene functions have been rendered almost impossible.

Residents say they would rather consume contaminated water than rely on water trucks, which they say supply hazardous water.
The residents met with Tshwane officials on Thursday to find solutions that are being explored.
They have vowed to take to the streets should their cries continue to go unheard.
