JOHANNESBURG - Allegations against SAPS leadership have sparked intense scrutiny as accountability comes into focus.
KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lt-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says senior officials have been shielding criminal networks and eroding trust in South Africa’s law enforcement agencies.
He says they have been involved in efforts to derail investigations into high-profile entertainment industry murders.
