CAPE TOWN - As Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee investigates alleged corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system on Thursday, several high profile raids have taken place.

Turmoil in the police service has played out in the form of a raid on the home of Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya.

Heavily armed officers also raided the home of Cedrick Nkabinde, the chief of staff for Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
