CAPE TOWN - 940 BILLION RAND, that's what President Cyril Ramaphosa says he will dedicate to infrastructure development over the next three years.
In his State of the Nation Address the President highlighted the Polihali Dam, which will feed 940 cubic meters of water a year from the Lesotho Highlands water project into the Vaal River System.
He also mentioned, starting this year, the government will work with municipalities to establish professionally managed, ring-fenced utilities for water services to ensure adequate investment and maintenance.
Water Expert Dr. Kevin Winter discussed some of these issue pertaining to water security with eNCA.
