TSHWANE - The US House Committee on Foreign Affairs this week passed the bill tabled by Republican Ronny Jackson – calling for a review of US relations with South Africa.

The bill known as the US-South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act also seeks to identify government officials and ANC leaders eligible for sanctions.
The committee cannot make the bill law but it’s the first step before it goes to the House and the Senate for consideration.
In the run up to this the National Employers’ Association of South Africa or NEASA was one of the organisations that was represented in talks with US officials.
- At the end of last month the organisation’s CEO, Gerhard Papenfus, joined FF Plus leader, Dr Corne Mulder and Dr Theo de Jager of the Southern African Agri Initiative to discuss the issue.
