SPONSORED - Episode 3 of Most Dirt Wins sees both teams leaving the highlands behind as they push toward the Wild Coast in their ongoing race to Coffee Bay. With hundreds of dirt-road kilometres already covered, the teams continue balancing route strategy with the series’ defining rule: the most dirt wins.
For this leg, the teams trade the single cab for the Landtrek double cab workhorse, loaded with building materials destined for Silaka Nature Reserve near Port St John's. Although Team Two holds a narrow lead, just 37 kilometres separate them, keeping the competition wide open.
The day begins with a visit to a local farm, where both teams deliver salt licks for livestock and navigate unexpected obstacles — including clearing a fallen tree using a chainsaw and the Landtrek’s towing strength. From there, the journey heads toward the coast, offering a shift from mountain passes to ocean views.
A 25-kilometre detour leads the teams to Magwa Falls, revealing tea plantations, rugged dirt tracks, and one of the Eastern Cape’s most impressive natural landmarks. Even fully loaded, the Landtrek continues to demonstrate its capability on demanding terrain.
The episode closes with the teams approaching Silaka Nature Reserve, reflecting on the changing landscape and the challenge still ahead. With one day left before Coffee Bay, the leaderboard remains close — and every kilometre counts.
