CAIRO - Bafana Bafana have arrived in Egypt with their sights firmly set on another crucial victory in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
South Africa face Eritrea on Wednesday in their second Group D match, with coach Pitso Mosimane looking to make it two wins from two since returning to the national team hot seat.
Mosimane began his latest chapter with Bafana on a winning note, guiding South Africa to a 2-1 victory over Guinea on Saturday.
The result lifted Bafana Bafana to the top of Group D, while co-hosts Kenya were held to a 1-1 draw by Eritrea.

With only one team set to qualify from the group, South Africa will be determined to protect their position at the summit when they take on Eritrea in Cairo.
But there is more at stake than just three points.
Bafana are also chasing a place in history as they look to secure three consecutive AFCON qualifications for the first time since their run of appearances in 2000, 2002 and 2004.
