
JOHANNESBURG - Banyana Banyana are jetting off to Turkiye to continue their World Cup preparations.
This is despite the recent earthquake which has killed more than 35,000 people, with many more injured while others are still missing.
Desiree Ellis' charges will participate in the Turkish Women's Cup where they are expected to face Uzbekistan on Saturday.
World football governing body FIFA also gave the green light to the tournament in a letter sent to all the participants on 10 February.
Besides the African champions, other teams that will be part of the tournament include Bulgaria, Estonia, Kosovo and Zambia just to mention a few.
