SAFA, Banyana Banyana reach agreement after players' boycott

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Football Association and Banyana Banyana have reached an agreement.

This is after the WAFCON defending champions boycotted practice on Saturday.

The players refused to show up for practice, citing that SAFA had not paid them outstanding fees.

They alleged they had complained to the football association, which had fallen on deaf ears.

The boycott comes days before the tournament is set to kick off in Morocco.

Banyana Banyana are in Group C, alongside Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania.

SAFA called it a 'minor issue', but had engaged with the players and managed to address their grievances.
