WATCH | Joburg bus strike declared unlawful

JOHANNESBURG - The Labour Court has declared the Rea Vaya bus strike unlawful and unprotected.

Workers downed tools on Wednesday, demanding that their 13th cheques be paid in cash to avoid it being taxed.

Business rescue practitioner Mahier Tayob has described the demands made by striking Rea Vaya workers as bizarre.

Tayob took over the reins last month after the company was placed under business rescue.
