JOHANNESBURG - The case against former pre-school teacher from Gauteng accused of raping and murdering her four-year-old, Nada-Jane Chalita has been postponed to 24 July.
This is to allow for a new council has been appointed by accused Amber-Lee Hughes.
This was heard on Wednesday when Hughes appeared before the Johannesburg High Court.
Hughes faces charges related murder.
Her heinous crimes date back to 2023 when the little girl was found drowned in a bathtub in her home.
The court has heard that her relationship with the child's father was filled with frequent disputes, which may have contributed to the tragic events.
