Cape Town foreign spaza shops close over extortion threats

CAPE TOWN - Under siege in their own shops.

Foreign spaza shop owners in Cape Town's townships say they are facing blatant extortion.

Over 30 stores in Khayelitsha have already shut down as criminals demand more money.

And, now police are also coming under attack.

It's believed to be retaliation to the death of Ayanda 'Stix' Yisaka, a suspected Boko Haram gang leader.

He was killed in a police shootout.
