City of Tshwane says work is underway to restore Pyramid substation

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane says it is working to restore power to areas after a fire gutted the Pyramid Substation.
The blaze resulted in an outage affecting the Rooiwal Waste Water Treatment Plant.

The city says once power has been restored to the plant, they will work on addressing the outage impacting farming communities.

Power supply will be improvised through another substation.
Severe storms yesterday also caused damage to properties in Hammanskraal.

The Pyramid Substation went offline after being struck by lightning resulting in the fire.
