DITSOBOTLA - The troubled Ditsobotla Local Municipality in North West has been placed under administration.
Government has invoked section 139 of the Constitution to take control of it.

The national executive will now assume the powers of the provincial government.
The Finance Minister will perform duties reserved for the Finance MEC.
COGTA Minister Velenkosi Hlabisa will also consult with law enforcement to setup a Joint Task Team.
The team will investigate and prosecute criminal activities reportedly rife in the municipality.
Civil groups and opposition parties say service delivery has collapsed in the municipality.
