eThekwini mayor survives motion of no confidence

DURBAN - eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda lives to fight another day.

Kaunda survived a motion to remove him as both mayor and a member of the executive committee of eThekwini.

The Active Citizens Coalition brought the motion.

The IFP in KwaZulu-Natal says it will support another motion should it be brought against the eThekwini mayor.

Kaunda has been criticised for neglecting service delivery in the city.

He says the focus is now to restore service delivery in the coastal city.
