PIETERMARITZBURG - eThekwini Metro has defended its handling of the sewage crisis in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
The municipality insists that it has taken reasonable steps to address sewage management.

But opposition parties disagree. They argue that eThekwini allowed the crisis to get worse by ignoring warnings for years.
ActionSA and the DA say the matter wouldn’t be in court if the metro had acted sooner.
