JOHANNESBURG - Vosloorus witnesses allege Brown Mogotsi shot his own car.
A witness says there were no other cars around Mogoti's red Chevrolet when the shooting happened.
The controversial North West businessman alleges he was shot at by gunmen in the East Rand on Monday night.
Approximately 11 bullets riddled the car, yet Mogotsi escaped the alleged attack without injury, and no blood was found inside his car.
Mogotsi was due to open a case after his attack at the Vosloorus police station on Tuesday, but was a no-show.
The North West businessman, linked to alleged police corruption, now faces a grilling by both the Madlanga Commission and Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee.
Police have not ruled out suspicions that the attack may have been staged.
