JOHANNESBURG - Another suspect has been arrested in connection with alleged recruitment of South African nationals to join the Russian Federation military.
The Hawks confirmed the arrest on Sunday morning. This brings the total number of arrests to five.
They're accused of contravening the Regulation of Foreign Military Assistance Act.
On Saturday Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale confirmed that they had arrested four suspects following a tip off to the Hawks by police at OR Tambo International airport.

Officers removed the men from a flight headed to Russia via the UAE, and flagged their travel as suspicious.
Investigators say a South African woman had been facilitating the recruitment and travel of the group to join the Russian Federation military.
All five suspects are expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate Court on Monday.
