Morero apologises for Joburg's water outages

JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Mayor Dada Morero has apologised for the water crisis in the city. 

He says the metro is working to ensure water supply is recovered quicker.

Morero was reacting to protests in Coronationville that took place from Wednesday morning.

Residents took to the streets over water shortages, they say this has been ongoing for nearly eight years.

Several people were struck by rubber bullets as police tried to disperse the crowd. But the protesters have vowed to continue demonstrating until the issue is resolved.
