PARIS - The late Ambassador Nathi Mthethwa is now en route from France, beginning his final journey back home to South Africa.
His family plans to lay him to rest this Sunday.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared late ambassador to France to be honoured with a Special Official Funeral Category 2 on Sunday.

The President has also directed that the National Flag be flown half-mast from Thursday, 9 October 2025, until the evening of the funeral on Sunday, 12 October.
National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has sent over a top investigator, to help with the case in Paris.
