New National Health Insurance Act will be shared national treasure - Ramaphosa

PRETORIA - President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the National Health Insurance Bill into law on on Wednesday.

He says that all South Africans need to work together to ensure that the bill is a success.

Ramaphosa says it will be a shared national treasure.

Health Minister, Joe Phaahla, says the implementation of the Bill is a commitment to the well-being of all South Africans.

He says that the policy development started in the early 2000s.
