JOHANNESBURG - It’s just two days before the 2023 ICC ODI Cricket World Cup gets underway in India and a majority of South Africans are at the risk of missing out on the action.
Once again sports broadcasting rights and licensing disagreements have resurfaced between the public broadcaster, SABC and pay-channel MultiChoice.
The two parties have failed to reach a sub-licensing agreement.
The tournament gets underway on Wednesday, while the Proteas play their opening match against Sri Lanka on Saturday.
The two parties are once again at it after they were also locked in protracted negotiations over the Rugby World Cup before a compromise was reached.
