Ramaphosa extends apartheid-era crimes inquiry

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended the term of the Khampepe Commission of Inquiry into Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) cases. 

The Presidency announced this on Thursday. 

The Commission is probing alleged interference in apartheid-era crime investigations.

It will now continue its work until 18 December this year.

This extension comes after the Commission, chaired by retired Constitutional Court Justice Sisi Khampepe, recently requested more time to complete its investigations and finalise its work.
