The Competition Commission says there’s already proof that several local and international banks colluded to rig the currency.

It's challenging a previous Competition Appeal Court ruling, that exonerated some banks, last year.

Local and international banks are accused of colluding,
to manipulate the rand-dollar exchange, between 2007 and 2014, with the impact still felt today.

The Competition Commission is challenging a ruling, by the Competition Appeal Court dismissing charges against 13 implicated banks.

Economist Dawie Roodt unpacked the case with eNCA.
