Rescue teams continue search for trapped victims in temple collapse

VERULAM, KZN - It is day three of the search for victims trapped beneath the rubble of a temple in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal.

The four-storey structure collapsed on Friday while still under construction.

Five people have been confirmed dead so far, as efforts continue to recover those still missing.

Yesterday, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Dean Macpherson visited the site, accompanied by KZN Cogta MEC, Thulasizwe Buthelezi and eThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba.

Buthelezi and Xaba appealed to families to be patient with the rescue teams.
