KWAZULU-NATAL - KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, is set to meet the National Council of Provinces.
The meeting aims to strengthen ties between Parliament and the police, but its timing has invited scrutiny.

It follows Mkhwanazi's allegations of senior SAPS and government officials colluding with criminal syndicates to obstruct high-profile investigations.
The allegations led to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu being placed on special leave.
A commission has been established to investigate Mkhwanazi's claims.
Parliament has also initiated an ad-hoc committee to consider the matter.
