Severe weather conditions in KZN | Part 1

DURBAN -  Severe weather conditions have claimed the lives of at least 40 people in KwaZulu-Natal this December.

Five people are still missing.

The KZN Disaster Management says the severe weather has left at least 74 people injured so far. Around 800 homes have been damaged, with a total of 247 structures completely destroyed.

Over 4,000 people have been affected, with forty-seven left homeless.

The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs department is urging people to remain extra vigilant as the inclement weather continues in various parts of the province.
