Severe weather warnings this long weekend

JOHANNESBURG - Brace yourself for some severe weather conditions this weekend.

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning that thunderstorms could be brewing, from the west coast of the country.  

This could cause widespread flooding, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms from Saturday night.

The Western Cape and Eastern Cape are expected to experience a weaker cold front and light rain.

Then on Sunday, thundershowers and rain will intensify across the country's western interior.

Coastal areas may may still experience flash flooding and rough seas, that we saw last weekend.
