GQEBERHA - Tensions have flared once again at the University of Fort Hare.

Students have clashed with security personnel, and parts of the campus have been set alight.

Protests erupted after the university announced plans to appoint an interim SRC during amendments to the student governance constitution.

Students are also calling for Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sakhela Buhlungu's removal.

eNCA spoke with student leader Asonele Magwaxaza who claimed students have been shot with live ammunition.
