Rayman had offered shelter to Davids for the night, but found herself caught up in the lovers' quarrel.

The 31-year-old mother of one has been remembered for the determination she possessed from an early age.

Davids turned 31 in hospital, three days before succumbing to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the Bosmont community has also been left reeling.

With speculation about the role of substance abuse in the double murder, questions have been asked if more could have been done.

The accused is due back in court on Wednesday.
