JOHANNESBURG - Universities are not spared from criminal activities as crime becomes rife on and off campus.
Six universities recorded almost 450 cases of theft and robbery last year.
Laptops, cellphones, and bags were the most stolen items.

Universities South Africa CEO Dr Phethiwe Matutu these rampant crimes have highlighted safety concerns within universities.
"It is rife for both students and stuff," she said.
