Bakubung Mine Strike | Miners allegedly held hostage underground

LEDIG, NORTH WEST - Bakubung Platinum Mine employees are demanding salary increases and a review of the mine’s pregnancy policy.

Over 300 miners who started their shift on Wednesday morning, failed to resurface from the underground shaft.

They want the management to address their grievances.

eNCA's Bafedile Moerane spoke to some family members of the miners, she says there are reports that the miners are held hostage.
