CAPE TOWN - Calls are growing for the resignation of Western Cape Police Commissioner Maj-Gen Thembisile Patekile.
It follows a spate of killings in parts of the province over the past few weeks.

On Monday, a cache of arms and ammunition was seized in a house in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain.
Activists say the police are unable to manage the situation and want the SANDF deployed instead.
